McDSP has taken their famous 6020 and 6030 modules which offered ten EQ and compression modules in one easy to use package respectively and have combined them to bring you an all-encompassing channel strip plug-in that is built for anything you can throw at it. It doesn't stop there, McDSP have also improved and tweaked the original modules to give you more usability and features, and then to top it off they have added gate, expander, signal saturator, and specialised filter modules that brings the total to an overly-generous, 28 modules for you to craft your sound and bring your tracks to life.

McDSP have designed a channel strip that is simple and intuitive so a novice will be able to get to grips with 6050 in no time, yet, it contains the sophistication in design that professionals will appreciate with the classic McDSP sound that the world has come to know and love. Input and output stages with individual gain controls are wrapped around three module bays which adorn the clean and modern interface. You'll be able to drag and drop any of the modules contained within this plug-in with ease, swap around and rearrange your signal flow in a way that suits you and the module selector panel will make it easier than ever to audition your EQs, compressors and other effects.
Not only are the original modules that you can find on McDSP 6020 and 6030 updated and included on this channel strip but you are also gifted eight new modules by McDSP to expand your arsenal so you can edit an even wider variety of tracks. S671 and Moo-D are two saturation modules that can give you either a small hint of grit or creamy tube overdrive that is suitable for use on both individual tracks or on your mix bus to flavour the whole project. D-100 will give you a complete in your face distortion that is perfect for when you want your tracks to get a bit more brutal and aggressive. MEF-1 and E404 are two versatile filter plug-ins that offer different types of filtering for any track, the latter being based on McDSP's famous FilterBank E4 module from 1999 that producers and professionals use to this day.
EZ G, is modelled around some of the famous dbx units such as the 904, 363x and 463x. When coupled with the EZ compressor module, you'll be able to create lush sounding effects that you'll soon be addicted to making every time you load up 6050. Last but by no means least are FRGX and iX, which are two expander modules that provide upwards and downwards expansion effects with up to 24dB of signal-boost or cut with ratio controls as a must so you can adjust the transition between the unaffected and expanded signal.
When you get a plug-in that's as versatile as 6050 you can use it for just about anything. For example drums, you could use a combination of a gate, compressor and filter modules on your kick drum track to give it some space and cut leakage, bring out some low-end thump and then filter it through to just add a bit more bite to cut through and drive your track forward. For guitar, you could add compression and EQ to make it shiny and characterful and then give it some grit with a saturation module, without any need for amp modelling at any stage.
For strings, a gain reduction module and equaliser can reduce those peaks and make your parts warm and full so they settle nicely into your mix no matter how many timbres and tones are involved. The list is endless when describing ways in which 6050 can change the way you process and mix your tracks, but it really does speak for itself and will fast become indispensable in your tracks and projects no matter the style or genre.
