Advanced detection and analysis
The side chain section is a key feature of Solera's advanced detection and analysis tool. It's designed to carry out an in-depth analysis of your material. This section includes a three-band equalizer that fine-tunes processing based on different frequencies, and it also allows for input from an external sidechain signal. Each of the three equalizer bands can adjust gain, frequency, and Q-Factor and provide five distinct filter types: a 12 dB per octave high pass filter, low shelving, parametric, high shelving, and a 12 dB per octave low pass filter. These features are there to help you control and shape the sound the way you want.
Full control over the processing
Flux Solera is a dynamic processor that offers more than just the standard controls like ratio, attack, and release. It's designed to give you full control over the dynamics of your audio, even in challenging situations. In terms of envelope, time, and detection settings, it has extended envelope settings where you can manually control the attack, hold, and release phases, or use auto and advanced release modes. What makes it unique is its zero attack time feature. This introduces a delay that matches the attack time into the signal path, ensuring immediate dynamics processing.
Eight different detection modes interact with your time and envelope settings and RMS detection integration times. These include special "Feed Backward" modes, inspired by vintage hardware, which create a robust, natural sound. Additionally, the Dynamic Factor parameter allows you to increase or decrease the real-time dynamics information extracted from your audio. Lastly, the Dynamic Velocity control lets you adjust how quickly this extracted dynamics information changes. All these features make Flux Solera a versatile tool for precise audio control.
Innovative dynamic detection
Using a different approach to the detection of the dynamics of your signal, Solera employs Dynamic Ratio and Level Independent Detection (L.I.D) technologies. Instead of analyzing the level of your signal, Solera's Dynamics Ratio controls the amount of auto-ratio determined by the signal dynamics and manual ratio set by the user. The advantage of this is that Solera opens up the sound and increases the dynamic impression by adjusting the ratio of each peak over the threshold in regard to the current ratio setting.
The Level Independent Detection circuit controls the amount of auto-threshold determined by the signal dynamics and manual threshold value, letting you process the audio signal independently of the sound level, preserving a more natural and transparent dynamic sound.
Individual Multichannel Processing
Experience the power of FLUX Solera's multichannel capabilities. With up to sixteen channels available for simultaneous processing, you can fully customize your surround configuration. Plus, you have the flexibility to disengage processing on any channel, letting the original sound bypass unaltered.
When working on a multi-channel bus, all channels - up to a total of sixteen - are processed by default. However, you have complete control and can choose to disengage processing for any number of channels. This allows the original sound to bypass, leaving the material unprocessed.
And there's more - you can use this feature in conjunction with serial instances. This means you can process the material on any number of channels with individual settings. It's all about giving you maximum control over your sound.
Preset and parameter handling
In the Solera, Preset and Parameter Handling is designed to optimize workflow efficiency. The plug-in features two Preset/Parameter slots, A and B, which can simultaneously hold two complete sets of parameters. Users can save individual presets as well as a "Global Preset" that encompasses both A and B settings and the position of the "Morphing Slider."
The Morphing Slider enables seamless blending between the parameter settings of slots A and B, offering creative and practical real-time adjustments. By activating the Automation control button, the Morphing Slider becomes accessible for host automation, further enhancing user control and flexibility.
