Key Features
The Disaster Transport Sr from EarthQuaker Devices is a dual delay pedal fused with reverb, modulation and a huge range of other effects. Providing edgy lo-fi sounds over two channels of delay, it will transport you straight back to the '80s and '90s garage rock scene. Whilst the Disaster Transport may initially seem intimidating with its plethora of controls, it actually offers an intuitive and easy to navigate top panel, giving you the power to control your delay channels separately and sculpt your dream sounds in seconds. Built with a robust metal chassis, you can be sure that this pedal is ready and raring to take on the road with you.
On top of delays and reverbs, the compact unit can create other effects ranging from smooth chorus to warped flange, making it an amazingly versatile choice for the lo-fi, old school tape delay enthusiast. The delay and reverb options are almost endless with this pedal, offering a straight delay, straight reverb, rhythmic delay, modulated delay and old school tape-style echo. The layout of the EarthQuaker Disaster Transport Sr is simple; the top row of dials control delay A, and the bottom control delay B. You can run both of the channels completely separately, in parallel, in series or mix these up for ultimate customisation of your tone. Delay A can even be bled into delay B with bleed and expression controls.

The EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport Sr Delay is equipped with two different types of delay, the first of which provides a 600ms delay with modulation. It's complete with a range of intuitive and powerful controls - the time controls the delay time from approximately 30ms to 600ms, while the repeats control dictates how many repeats there are of a signal before it dies off. These range from one single repeat through to an infinite wash into self-oscillation. There is also a mix control which alters the level of the wet signal - boosting this works beautifully with a distorted signal.
What's more, the depth controls the intensity of the modulation, from no modulation to all-out seasick pitch bends. The rate controls the speed of the modulation, and the LED for delay A will flash in time with the rate to visually show you where it's set. Finally, the bleed control feeds delay A into delay B, post reverb. You can use this control for series or series/parallel operation to create rhythmic repeats, extra long delay time or an all-out echo wash. This can also be controlled via an expression pedal - for the ultimate creative output. When using the bleed, experiment with the repeat controls on each delay channel. Exercise your creativity by using them in different settings, both together and individually, for different timing and textures.
The EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport is also loaded with the Delay B, providing a 300ms delay with reverb. The first control to note is the reverb control itself, which edits the amount of amount of reverb in the delay B input. Next is the mix control, which affects the level of the wet signal, and again works great as a boosted signal when paired with an overdrive or distortion. The repeats control alters how many repeats of the signal there are until it dies off, and will again range from one single repeat through to an endless wash of self-oscillation. The time knob controls the delay time from 30ms-300ms.
The EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport Sr gets better and better by the minute with the capability to create a multitude of crazy sounds from warped records, flange, smooth chorus, echoed out squalls and various other mind blowing effects. If you're mad for old school tape delay and lo-fi tones, you will get endless enjoyment every time you plug into the Disaster Transport. The switches for both delays switch the inputs only. The outputs are always connected, allowing you to have trails by always leaving the bypass switch engaged, or to use the bypass switch as the master on/off for true bypass. Also, you can feed delay A into B using the bleed control without having delay B active to provide a cleaner rhythmic delay.
Handmade in Ohio, this pedal is also designed with a true bypass which works to achieve a crystal-clear signal at all times, even when the pedal is disengaged. This means that no matter where you place it in your signal path, the natural sound of your guitar will shine through. What's more, the robust exterior works to protect the internal components to exposure to moisture or dust, guaranteeing a long-lasting performance that is ready to take on the road with you.
