The specially designed electronics featured in the Yamaha CPX700II really put it in its own league of electro acoustic excellence. It comes loaded with a System 64 1-Way A.R.T. preamp. The A.R.T. stands for "acoustic resonance transducer". A unique technology from Yamaha, A.R.T. helps the pickup to respond superbly well to different playing actions. So unlike with your regular piezo pickup you'd get in a standard electro acoustic, the System 64 preamp is designed to eliminate the distortion that can often come with quickly changing up your playing style to one that features a heavier attack.
This all means you get sparkling, pure acoustic tone that won't be tainted or fall foul of noise interference - even when you really want to play with dynamism.
