The Bass Driver DI is not only a direct box for sending your signals from the pedalboard straight to your front of house, but also capable of dialling up vintage tube tones all to way to brighter modern sounds more suited to slap styles. With three outputs to drive power amps, recording desks and PAs, the DI can be used for a world of different possibilities and is willing to show off its versatility at all times. If you prefer, it can simply be used to enhance your rig with some huge tones – all the power is beneath your very feet. Featuring a range of different controls which allow you to shape your sound, the Bass Driver DI has an Active EQ that’s specifically designed for bass guitars, perfect for fine tuning the low frequencies.
For the new and improved V.2 of the Bass Driver, many of the original features from the old design have been carried over, with the addition of a few extras and updates for a more powerful pedal performance. With the increase of 5 and 6 string basses in the mainstream, this pedal now features a mid-range control for adjusting those higher bass frequencies, while switches are also added to adjust the frequency response for both the mids and bass. A switch to provide 20dB of cut is added for the XLR output, and a 10dB signal boost has been added for the ¼” jack output.
A range of controls are available to adjust the basses’ tone, allowing for the fine tuning of your guitar’s natural tone to help you find your own unique voice. Unlock the full range of traditional bass sounds, from dry and meaty to crunchy overdriven tones. The level and blend controls adjust the output of the pedal, control how much of the basses’ signal is affected by the pedal. The presence controls the amount of definition and upper harmonic content will be produced, while the drive adjusts the amount of overall gain and overdrive. A 3-band EQ allows for further fine tuning and tweaking in the mid-range, bass and treble frequencies, providing an overall boost/cut of +/-12dB.
