The Stanesby Junior Flauto Traverso is based on an 18th Century flute made by the famous flute maker of the same name.

Pitched in Baroque concert pitch 415Hz, this flute is ideal for historical performance ensembles. The Grenser Flauto Traverso uses the same baroque fingering but is pitched at modern concert pitch 420Hz, making it compatible with other modern orchestral instruments.Rounding off the transverse Aulos flute collection is the 'Pipit' fife. Much like a piccolo is can cut through a lot of noise which is why the fife has always been the preferred choice of wind instrument in military and marching bands.
