Premier Genista Classic 14" x 5.5" Snare Drum, Aqua Sparkle Overview
The Premier Genista Classic 14" x 5.5" Snare Drum is a great upgrade choice for any advanced drummer, or as an addition to any Premier Genista shell pack. Going back to Genista's roots, the snare is made from an all-birch design that offers great punch and volume with exceptional attack and a fast sounding decay. The tonal quality of the shell makes the snare drum a great choice for a wide range of musical genres.
The 5.5" depth provides a high-pitched snare tone, perfect for the stage and studio. This snare drum is also fitted with the original 610 snare mechanism which offers a quick release feature, allowing you to change the snare head without altering the snare setting and tension.
The snare drum's double tension lug design was a firm favourite of many drummers who played the original Genista series. All castings have been retooled from the original factory drawings for maximum authenticity, performance, and aesthetic.

The original Genista kits are renowned in the drumming world for their exceptional performance, sonic quality, and timeless look. The Genista was the first unsupported birch shell to be produced by Premier, offering a classic sound that continues to be admired by all drummers.
The birch build when paired with a distinctive tension lug construction sees Premier return to one of its most revered drum designs. All Genista shells are also precision cut and feature a 45-degree bearing edge which helps to further increase attack, resonance and sustain for optimum sound performance.
Finishes that pay homage to the predecessor
Every Genista Classic finish pays tribute to its predecessors with a choice of stain and sparkle high-gloss lacquer finishes. Synonymous with quality, at the heart of each shell is the famous "P" badge. Each Genista shell is also protected with an anti-moisture internal lacquer to preserve and prolong its life in humid environments.
