The ICD-SX2000 features Linear PCM Recording that allows you to capture sound at up to 96kHz/24-bit, whilst FLAC playback support allows you to enjoy incredibly lossless audio with clear definition and dynamics. The unit is equipped with an S-Master HX digital amplifier, this amp cuts distortion and noise across a wide range of frequencies using a simplified and full digital signal path. The digital signal is maintained until just before the speaker output, which in turn, is what eliminates the distortion. Designed to capture even the most subtle nuances with exceptional precision, the Sony ICD-SX2000 faithfully records and reproduces high-resolution audio with astonishing detail.
The ICD-SX2000's ability to capture and reproduce exceptional quality audio is dramatically enhanced with the device's selection of quality-of-life features, as well as its vast array of recording and playback options. One of these QOL features is the ability to expand upon the extensive 16GB built-in memory of the ICD-SX2000. The built-in memory of the device enables you to store up to 636 hours of recordings in LP mode (MP3, 48kbps). However, with a convenient microSD card slot, you can expand this memory using a 4GB to 32GB microSDHC card, or a 64GB or more microSDXC card. The ICD-SX2000 also features support for most popular music formats, such as MP3, WAV, and FLAC, providing you with the ability to easily listen to compressed music tracks without any degradation in sound quality. The ICD-SX2000 can be plugged into your computer directly via USB with a completely cable-free connection. The device features a built-in USB plug, and simply connects to your PC from the bottom of the device, allowing you to quickly and easily store and transfer your recordings. Lastly, an integrated tripod connection enables you to achieve vibration-free recordings suitable for a wide range of situations.
Available for Android and iOS devices, the REC Remote application opens up the ability to control your ICD-SX2000 directly from your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. REC Remote allows you to start and stop recording, adjust the recording levels and settings, and even add track marks to make finding content quicker and easier. REC Remote features a simple and intuitive interface for efficient control, monitoring, and organisation, all remotely.
