The Genelec GLM 2.0 Genelec Loudspeaker Manager User Kit allows you to optimize the performance of your Smart monitoring system and make the most out of the environment you are working in. The full kit provides you with all the tools you need for measuring and gathering the information needed to optimize your speaker performance. Included with the kit is the Genelec measurement microphone, universal mic holder, network adapter unit, and the GLM 2.0 software. The kit allows you to manage and control up to 30 Smart monitors and Smart subwoofers, allowing you to easily create systems to suit all types of multi-channel or 3D immersive audio formats. Achieve a smooth frequency response transition around the crossover point, as phase is automatically corrected for all Smart subwoofers over the network. Once your system is perfectly calibrated and achieved for optimum performance, the settings are then saved in both system setup files and each individual Smart monitor and subwoofer, allowing you to set up and leave settings, and ensure you are getting the best out of your monitors and listening environment.

What Is Autocal?

Autocal provides the industry's first integrated processes for complete automated measurement, analysis, and adjustment of individual SAM monitors and subwoofers on the network. AutoCal does all the hard work for you, measuring and analysing the system to deliver optimum performance. The included 8300A acoustic measurement microphone captures all parameters of your acoustic environment. It measures the response in the listening area and then applies the compensation in the low and low-mid frequencies to minimise detrimental room acoustic anomalies, as well as differences between different listening positions. AutoCal will remove any colorations, leaving you with superb consistence and neutral sound stage imaging. The Acoustic Response Editor is used to view the measured response, filter compensation, and the resulting system response for each monitor.

Genelec GLM 2.0 Software

Included is the GLM 2.0 software designed for simple and intuitive operation for both Windows and Mac. The GLM software is the highly intuitive and powerful monitor control network system that manages connectivity to all Genelec SAM monitors and subwoofers on the Genelec network. The software features options for adjusting levels, distance delays, and flexible room response compensation through Genelece's AutoCal (automated calibration system) software. The Genelec Loudspeaker Manager makes calibration easy. Once everything is set up, the software then guides you smoothly through the process for perfect calibration.
