Solid Spruce & Bubinga Construction

The Tanglewood TU 2 ST Union ukulele features a solid spruce top that yields crisp articulation, delivers a broad dynamic range, and a crisp, vibrant sound. Its tone is also quite bright and loud, providing players with a classic soprano ukulele voice. The solid top is coupled with bubinga back and sides, delivering great sustain and a bright tonal characteristic. Its bubinga construction also produces bright mid-range emphasis and brings depth to the overall sound, as well as offering a striking appearance.

Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Union ukulele's neck delivers a rich warmth with plenty of resonance. In addition, the mahogany neck responds greatly to many different playing styles and techniques with ease. Its neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that adds a sonic warmth blended with a bright sparkle to the overall tone of the ukulele. The rosewood fingerboard also offers players a smooth and energetic playing experience and is sprinkled with white dot inlays for added beauty.

Soprano Size

The Tanglewood TU 2 ST features a soprano body, which is the smallest of the ukulele family, offering comfort for beginners, and a traditional sound for more advanced players. With 12 frets, the TU 2 ST is well-suited to beginners and smaller players. In addition, the soprano size also has the smallest playing range of all ukulele types as well as a small distance between frets, making it easy to transition between chords for small hands and beginners.
