Beautiful Ash Topped Mahogany Body

The Jackson guitar’s body is crafted from mahogany topped with stunning ash and finished in a charcoal grey, creating a beautiful aesthetic which reflects the dark and destructive tones it produces. The mahogany wood delivers a warm tone with a somewhat soft character, and offers an excellent balance of grind and bite for times when extra punch is needed. While the ash wood adds a visually stunning and unique look, combining it with the mahogany helps enhance its level of sonic depth to create full lows, appealing highs, and a good midrange focus.

Maple Through-Body Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

The Jackson SL7 Pro Series Soloist features a one-piece through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods, which enhances it stiffness and stability while guarding against temperature and humidity-induced warping. The maple neck is coupled with an ebony fingerboard, providing the guitar with a beautifully bright, warm characteristic, thundering lows, and a pleasing high end sparkle. The fingerboard’s compound radius is perfect for soloists and speed demons, offering incredible comfort and flexibility across the entire board.

Classic Jackson Headstock

The classic Jackson headstock featured on the Soloist SL7 HT is carefully angled at 17 degrees, increasing the pressure on the strings and helping them to stay in the nut slots. In addition, an increase in string pressure also means there is no loss of string vibration between the nut and the tuners, which equals better sustain and an overall smoother performance.

Seymour Duncan Distortion Humbuckers

The Jackson Soloist is equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan’s SH-6 7 Distortion Humbuckers mounted directly to the body, increasing resonance and vibration transfer to deliver extra punch and sustain. Both pickups are designed with massive ceramic magnets and hot coil windings to produce full-bodied rock and metal tones, with powerful upper mids for extra cut and grind. The neck humbucker is perfect for lead and rhythm sections, offering players a smooth, fluid tone under high gain while retaining a bell-like clean sound. The bridge humbucker is ideal for hard hitting crunchy rhythms and delivering screaming tones saturated in wild harmonics.

Jackson’s HT7 String-Through Body Hardtail Bridge

The Pro Series Soloist features Jackson's string-through-body hardtail bridge, designed specifically for 7-string guitars and delivers rock-solid tuning stability and pinpoint intonation accuracy. The string-through construction provides a greater transfer of vibration from the strings to the body than standard fixed bridges, resulting in an enhanced sustain and a rich tonal character.
