Sturdy Mahogany Les Paul Body

Bjorn’s signature Les Paul is crafted from sturdy mahogany, delivering a beautifully warm tone with plenty of resonance ideal for searing leads and powerful licks. Mahogany is known for its pleasant characteristics, offering players balanced tones with excellent grind and bite to cut through dense mixes. Custom 59 Rounded Mahogany Neck

The Epiphone’s smooth mahogany neck is designed with a custom ’59 rounded profile, offering an incredibly comfortable playing experience optimised for fast hand manoeuvres and smooth slides. The mahogany tonewood delivers a mostly focused midrange, providing excellent presence for thick, meaty mids with an organic characteristic. The overtones produced stack up to offer a luscious bloom for extra girth, while its well-balanced tone features a nice dynamic range. An ebony fingerboard is added to beef up its low-end, delivering a striking punch and muscular bass response while adding extra warmth and openness for a truly versatile tone.

EMG Pickups

The set of EMG pickups feature stylish ‘metalworks’’ gold caps to add to the stylish aesthetic of the signature Les Paul. In the neck position is EMG’s 85 humbucker, made with Alnico V magnets to deliver an incredibly muscular growl and a smooth lead tone. The bridge pickup is EMG’s 81 humbucker, made with powerful ceramic magnets to provide detailed intensity with plenty of high-end cut and sustain. Use both together to create incredibly versatile tones, or switch between the 81 and 85 to produce slicing leads or thundering rhythm sections.

LockTone Tune-O-Matic Bridge

Tune-O-Matic bridges are an extremely popular fixed bridge type due to their stability, reliability, comfortable playing position, and impressive sustain. Unlike other systems that require tools to adjust and remove, the LockTone bridge automatically locks the tune-o-matic and the stopbar onto their posts for added security and improved sustain. About Bjorn Gelotte

Bjorn Gellotte is a Swedish born singer and songwriter known for his involvement in the metal band, In Flames. Gellotte was first apart of Flesh of Sights before joining the band 5 years after its inception as the drummer. Bjorn kept this role for a couple of years before switching to his current role as guitarist after Glenn Ljungstrom left. Currently the melodic death metal band In Flames have sold over two million records worldwide. All of Gelotte's gear reflect his incredible attention to detail that have made him one of the most influential metal guitarists of his generation.
