Solid Sitka Spruce & Solid Rosewood Construction

The Yamaha AC3R LTD features a solid sitka spruce top which produces a versatile sound that is able to accommodate numerous genres and techniques with ease; from lighter fingerpicking styles, to heavier more aggressive strumming patterns. In addition, its stunning sitka spruce top also yields a crisp and articulate tone with a broad dynamic range, and a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm mid-range, and bright singing highs. The Yamaha AC3R's solid top is also treated with Yamaha's A.R.E. treatment for an enhanced tone that projects the rich, full and resonant sound of vintage guitars. Furthermore, the AC3R's versatile solid top is accompanied by solid rosewood back and sides, which combined with its sitka spruce top provides players with an incredibly balanced and versatile palette of tones. The rosewood back and sides also produce a deep rich-warmth with superb resonance and volume.

African Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

Constructed from a 3-ply African mahogany neck, the player is certain to benefit from the AC3R's quick and dynamic response. African mahogany's sonic-footprint falls on the warmer end of the tonal spectrum whilst its nature allows it to respond superbly to numerous playing styles and techniques, perfect for unleashing creativity and receiving a sonically pleasing tone in response. In addition, for added comfort throughout each position up and down the neck, the AC3R LTD features a high comfort neck profile, preventing the likeliness of a cramping hand. Furthermore, the neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that adds warmth and clarity to the guitar's overall sound, whilst providing a smooth and energetic playing experience. Lastly, the fingerboard also has rolled edge for extra comfort and an extremely smooth playing experience.

Concert Cutaway Body

Custom Scalloped Bracing

The Yamaha AC3R features a new scalloped bracing design, custom made by Yamaha. Bracing is extremely important for the guitar's durability as it reinforces the structure and prevents it from collapsing under string tension. Additionally, whilst the bracing provides a secure and stable top, it also enhances the guitar's tonal output by allowing the top to vibrate more freely. Scalloped bracing also adds more emphasis to the bass response of the guitar, and has been rewarded for enhancing the guitar top's production. Furthermore, Yamaha's new scalloped bracing also provides the guitar with a loud, richer acoustic sound and incredibly powerful, expressive tone.
