PRS’s SE singlecut guitar features a solid mahogany body and neck coupled with a rosewood fingerboard, delivering sweet, warm tones that add sparkle to the highs and thicken up the low end. A maple top with flamed veneer adds a beautiful look while the stylish Kentuky blueburst finish creates a visually stunning appeal that will catch anyone’s attention. The PRS stoptail provides an incredible sustain with the ability to individually intonate the strings when you have a lower tuning. The 24.5inch scale length makes it easier to bend the strings, and the wide fat neck provides a comfortable feel.
The guitar’s two pickups deliver a range of powerful tones, letting you go from beautiful blue tones to high gain rock sounds. In the bridge position is a US PRS 57/08 humbucker with a coil tap setup, producing a low output tone with PAF characteristics. An SE soapbar pickup is in the neck position, delivering P-90, single coil sounds that have a high output to create an incredibly versatile setup. The pickups are wired up to their own volume and tone controls, and feature a 3-way toggle switch.
Born in 1985 in a small rural town, Chris Robertson began to play in his early teens, alongside John Fred Young, who would go on to form the band Black Stone Cherry. It was a lack of anything to do in their hometown and their rich musical background that lead to the band's formation and would lead Chris into becoming a famous musician. Officially formed in 2001, Chris Robertson became the front man of Black Stone Cherry, creating massive guitar sounds that would lead to a great partnership between him and PRS guitars.
