Solid Spruce Top & Mahogany Body

The Henna Oasis features a stunning, solid spruce top which yields crisp articulation and a broad dynamic range. Its solid spruce top offers versatility and is commonly used for guitar tops as it can handle numerous different playing styles with ease, as well as producing deep lows, and bright singing highs. Its brightly toned spruce top is coupled with mahogany back and sides which create rich definition from note to note with plenty of resonance. Mahogany also delivers a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles.

Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

Crafted from mahogany, the neck provides players with plenty of resonance and great durability. The mahogany responds greatly to many different styles of play and techniques with ease, and is one reason why it is commonly used to construct guitar necks. Its smooth and comfortable C shaped neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard which produces a warm, bright, sizzling-sparkle which really shines through when playing fingerpicking techniques.

Folk Body with Venetian Cutaway

The Henna Oasis features a folk body shape, offering players a comfortable play and well-balanced tone with good projection. The folk body shape is ideal for players that often use fingerpicking techniques and play within the folk genre. In addition to its comfort and great tone, the Henna Oasis also features a venetian cutaway, enabling players to reach challenging chords with ease. The venetian cutaway is renowned for its soft curves and sleek lines, not only does it look great, but it also promotes the access to upper fingerboard shredding.

Fishman Isys+

The Henna Oasis comes equipped with a Fishman Isys+ preamp, which offers basic tone tweaking and provides amplified acoustic sound for live and rehearsal environments. Simply plug in to an amp or P.A system and listen to your acoustic's natural tonal character come alive through this sophisticated and compact system. The preamp features rotary controls for bass, treble, and volume, as well as a phase button, and the added convenience of a built-in tuner.

Luna History

Yvonne Villiers is an accomplished stained-glass artist who envisioned Luna guitars. Her inspiration for a line of guitars designed to maximise playing comfort came from her mother, Hilda Villiers, a bassist for over 40 years. Whilst watching her mum on stage, Yvonne couldn't help but notice the massive struggle her mum had whilst playing. With her mum being petite and using such a heavy instrument, she used to complain of how hard it was to be a woman and try to play these big bass guitars.

Yvonne then questioned if there were others like her mum that struggled with the same problems and pains. She came up with the idea of a woman specific guitar, uniquely tailored to fit their bodies, their hands, and their musical styles. Yvonne moved on to created Luna guitars, a line of guitars made for female musicians of all ages and crafted with luminous visual beauty to engage women's minds and spirits along with their talent.

Yvonne already had brilliant artistic skills and use of colour, she then applied the same techniques as she did with her award winning stained glass work to her new line of guitars. She is known for using rich colours that shimmer and shine with every movement providing an eye-catching design along with the great musical tones Luna guitars deliver. Yvonne's design expertise has led so many men to respond to Luna's well-crafted, spirit-engaging instruments that the company now creates guitars for both female and male musicians of all ages.
