The Ibanez SR2605 features a striking poplar burl top with a mahogany body, adding to its eye-catching appearance. The poplar burl top delivers a sonically pleasing, rounded bottom-end and a brighter top-end, whilst the mahogany body produces a warm, fat low-end. In addition, its poplar burl top combined with its Cerulean Blue Burst finish offers players a truly unique appearance that is certain to stand out from the rest.
The Ibanez SR2605 features an Atlas-5 shaped 15 piece neck made from an array of beautiful tonewoods. The tonewoods include panga panga, maple, paduak, purpleheart, and walnut for a unique and sonically pleasing tonal character as well as stability. The titanium reinforcement rods are lightweight yet strong enabling the neck to keep its original shape.
This combination of tonewoods that make up the 15 piece neck provide a broader dynamic range and enhances the overall sound of the guitar. In addition, the SR2605 also features a panga panga fingerboard, which is a sustainable tonewood that enhances the tone with warmth and resonance.
